Asuhan Keperawatan Kekurangan Volume Cairan Pada Anak Dengan Diare Di Ruang Anak RSUD dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya

A child should be distinguished from a minor is anyone under 18 in almost all state. The problem can be caused by infection especially gastrointestinal infection. Diarrhea is one of gastrointestinal infection. Medical record of RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya on january until july 2012 indicates there are 555 (37,6%) patients of diarrhea. Most of them come with moderate dehydration. This study use a descriptive method with case study approach to nursing care that purposed to know fluid volume deficiency of nursing care on pediatric with diarrhea in pediatric room of RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Unit of analysis is two patients aged 6-11 months in ruang anak RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Data were collected by interview, physical examination and supporting examination. The result was found difference between two cases in family health history, psychosocial history, immunization history and fluid volume that consumed by patients. The conclusion, fluid volume deficiency is priority nursing problem on pediatric with diarrhea. Advised for family is to be more active in getting knowledge by coming to posyandu frequently as of get counseling from health worker. Furthermore, it is recommended for hospital to increase family counseling because it is useful to be able to prevent dehydration on pediatric with diarrhea.
