Asuhan Keperawatan Nutrisi Kurang Dari Kebutuhan Tubuh Pada Klien Thypus Abdominalis Di RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya

Thypus Abdominalis is an important society health issues in developing countries. In Eastern Java the incident of Thypus Abdominalis reaches about 4000 case every mounth. This research aims to learn and understand deeply about Nursing Care nutrition less than body requirements to client with Thypus Abdominalis at RSUD DR. M. Soewandhie Surabaya.
This research uses case study method with nursing care approach by taking one case as the unit of analysis. The unit of analysis is the Thypus Abdominalis patient with age above 18 years old at RSUD DR. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Method of data collection is through interviews, physical examination and diagnostic examinations. The instrument of data collection uses nursing care form accordance with applicable provision in Prodi DIII Keperawatan Kampus Soetomo Politeknik Kesehatan Kementrian Kesehatan Surabaya. Data analysis arranged in a descriptive with the nursing process approach which includes nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing plan, implementation of nursing and evaluation.
Based on analysis of data it is concluded that nursing assessment requires effective communication skills, nursing diagnosis tailored to client’s condition, planning and implementation of nursing needs modification tailored to client’s condition , evaluation was done both formatif and sumatif.
Expected to be considered by local health workers to improve their communication skills in providing health education in order to increase patient and family knowledge about definition, etiology, treatments, diet, prevent of transmission and home care to Thypus Abdominal client so as to prevent the high incidence of Thypus Abdominalis in Indonesia.
