Asuhan Keperawatan Masalah Nyeri Pada Pasien Post Pembedahan Dengan Benigna Prostat Hiperplasia (BPH) Di Ruang Anggrek RSUD. Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya

The purpose of this research for knowing the nursing care for pain of post surgery patient with benign prostate hyperplasi (BPH) at Anggrek room of dr. M. Soewandhie hospital in Surabaya. This research uses descriptive metode in case study type with nursing care approachment. The analysis units whom examined are two post surgery patient with BPH and have pain as their main problem. Based on analysis explanation, the conclusion in assesment phase shows that BPH oftentimes happens to men that more than 55 years old because the endocrine changes along with aging process. The main nursing diagnose is comfort disorder: pain related to nerve cell destruction; cateter traction pressure. There are differences between theory and fact in intervention phase, those are giving analgesic and vital sign observation. In implementation phase, giving analgesic adjusts the doctor instruction and vital sign observed every eight hours. In evaluation phase, pain problem was overcome in a different time between first case and second case, the first case’s problem was overcome in four days and the second case was overcome in three days. It happened because the pain causes were different. Hoped that post surgery patient with BPH can obey the therapy instruction so the obstruction and uretra ruptured can be prevented. For patient’s family, hoped that they can help patient to fulfill his needs during traction’s time because he’s not allowed to have an active mobilization. For health institution, hoped that they can maintain and also increase in caring post surgery patient with BPH especially for observing the continuity and also the balance of the fluid’s input-output to prevent obstruction which causes pain.
