Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga Dengan Masalah Kurang Pengetahuan Pada Keluarga Yang Salah Satu Anggota Menderita TB Paru Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pacarkeling Surabaya

TB is an infectious disease, transmitted by the air when TB patient cough and saliva spark that is containing bacteria are inhaled by other people. TB has incubation period at about 3-6 months. The purpose of this research is to understand and learn about family nursing care with knowledge deficit one of family members suffering lung tuberculosis in pacarkeling region of surabaya local government clinic.
This research using case study method that approach nursing care by taking case of pulmonary disease. The unit of analysis is two families that one of the family members suffering tb in pacarkeling region of surabaya local government clinic. The data collection method by interview and physical examination. Data collection instrument is nursing care formats based on the provision of Soetomo nursing academy. This research hold on March 26th 2014 – April 23rd 2014.
Based on the analysis, in assessment stage was found that TB was experienced by both of family member in case 1 and case 2 that caused by dense housing, low family socioeconomic, poor environment and house sanitation, history of contact with TB patient and smoking habit that only found in case 1. Main nursing diagnose obtained: family knowledge deficit associated with pulmonary TB disease related to family inability knowing the problem of pulmonary tuberculosis. Intervention hold by doing health education about TB. Implementation hold according to the intervention that had been arranged. In the evaluation stage, the problem of case 1 and case 2 can be solved in 3 visiting for 45 minutes.
The author hopes to health workers are able to give counseling about good environmental and sanitation, how to detect early symptoms of pulmonary TB, and treatment should be done during ill so expect a case of pulmonary tuberculosis can be decreased, prevent recurrence, and improve the health of the family as well as for further research to explore more about the causes of lack of knowledge in the family.
