Asuhan Keperwawatan Dengan Masalah Kekurangan Volume Cairan Pada Klien Diabetes Melitus Di Raung Multazam RS Islam Surabaya

Deficiency of fluid volume are individual circumstances that decreased intravascular fluid, interstitial, or intracellular. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose or hyperglycemia. The aim of this study is able to carry out nursing care to clients with diabetes mellitus in Multazam’s room Surabaya Islamic Hospital.
This study used a descriptive research method in the form of case reports with nursing care approach. The unit of analysis is the two clients of diabetes mellitus, both men and women with hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia in Multazam’s room Surabaya Islamic Hospital. Data were collected by interview, observation, physical examination and investigation. This study was conducted from March 24 to March 28, 2014.
Based on the discussion is concluded, the review found that clients with diabetes mellitus often appears after entering the age of more than 45 years, the primary nursing diagnosis in both cases is the deficiency of fluid volume, develops plans based on nursing diagnoses, implementation is done in accordance with the plans that have been prepared and evaluated in both cases the lack of fluid volume problems resolved within 3x24 hours.
Expected for nurses should provide education on health education on family and clients about diet, and the management and client care skills at home to prevent the occurrence of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia sudden.
