Asuhan Keperawatan Nutrisi Kurang Dari Kebutuhan Pada Klien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya

Diabetes melitus type 2 is one of the most important disease now, which is incident and prevalence increase happen for about 3% every years in the world. In east Java, incident of Diabetes Melitus reach until 1,43% in urban area, and 1,47% in the rural one. Thris research is purposed to learn and understand nursing care nutrition less than body requirements to diabetes melitus type 2 client at Bougenvil Room RSUD dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya.
This research use case studi method with nursing care approachment and take one case as an analysis unit. Analysis unit is included by addult client in 20 years old or more, man or woman, client with medical diagnosis of diabetes melitus type 2 and has nutrition less than body requirements problem, agree to observed, and not in critical condition at Bougenvil Room RSUD dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Taking data method is by interview, physical checkup, and medical record. Data accumulation instrument use assesment format of medical surgical nursing. Data analysis is arranged as a descriptive type with nursing care approachment included nursing assesment, problem analysis, nursing intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
According to data analysis, we get many conclusions, on assesment found gastrointestinal system and nutrition pattern change, its manifestations are body weakness, decrease of body weight, increase of blood glucose, intervention and implementation are supported by enough facilities, and problem cleared for more than three days not match with nursing plan purpose.
Hope health employees like as doctors and nurses can give right therapies as match as client problems so that it can decrease diabetic health problems and repair life quality of diabetic.
